Food Proficiency Testing Scheme

Food Proficiency Testing schemes are common for laboratories that perform routine microbiological laboratory testing in food industries in assuring their accuracy and confidence in food safety in addition to validating the test methods.

Food Microbiology Detection (FMD)

Food Microbiology Detection (FMD) offers a wide range of proficiency testing (PT) programmes in detecting foodborne and food spoilage microorganisms.

The PT schemes offered include the detection of Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli (generic), E. coli O157 (non-toxigenic), Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholerae (non-O1) and Bacillus cereus

Food Microbiology Quantification (FMQ)

Food Microbiology Quantification (FMQ) offers proficiency testing (PT) programmes in the enumeration of foodborne and food spoilage microorganisms.

The programmes offered include aerobic organisms, Enterobacteriaceae, coliform count, Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, yeasts, Listeria monocytogenes, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio cholerae (non-O1).
