What is Proficiency Testing?

Proficiency Testing (PT) is an External Quality Assessment (EQA) of competency programme.
PT enables participating laboratories to assess their performance by conducting tests in their laboratories and thereafter comparing their results with other participants of the same programme.

It is an essential aspect of a laboratory practice to assure the validity of results, staffs' competency, and a mandatory element of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

As a proficiency testing provider, Go Plus Services offers microbiology proficiency testing which covers the scope of food, water, nucleic acid, and general microbiology.

Why you should participate in Proficiency Testing

Proficiency Testing helps you to validate and verify analytical and diagnostic methods for regulatory compliance.

How does Go Plus Services Proficiency Testing works?

Go Plus Services organizes two different schemes of microbiology Proficiency Testing (PT): one for food analyses and one for drinking water. Go Plus Services also organizes nucleic acid Proficiency Testing schemes and general microbiology Proficiency Testing schemes.

Laboratory participants have to register as PT participants with Go Plus Services.

Participants shall then proceed to select and purchase the PT programmes of their choice.

A laboratory reference number will be given to participants upon registration and purchase completion.

PT samples of the respective programmes will be dispatched to the participants.

Participants will be given one (1) month to conduct the PT testing and submit the report via participant’s portal.

Final report of the PT programmes will be sent to participants within 14 days from the closing date of report submission.
